- For best results installing tub mat: Make sure tub is clean. Wet tub. Place mat in center of tub and press firmly to anchor suction cups. Continue filling tub and step carefully onto mat in 5 to 6 places to ensure mat is anchored to tub. After use, remove and rinse thoroughly, wipe clean with a damp cloth and mild bleach
